| Located on the northeastern coast of Samui Island in the Gulf of Thailand,
The Tongsai Bay Cottages & Hotel is set in 25 acres of Beautiful Gardens
and designed to blend harmoniously with the surroundings. This is a peace
ful resort with a private beach. 24 Beachfront Suites, in a 3-storeyed chalet-type building next to the swimming pool and the beach. 8 suites on the ground floor has the total area of 86 sqm devided into 36 sqm balcony, 44 sqm air-conditioned area and 6 sqm backyard garden. The upper stairs suite has an air-conditioned bedroom and living area of 44 sqm and an open-air terrace of 28 sqm with a secluded bathtub, 2 sun lounges, dining and writing tables and chairs. All have sea views. 44 Cottage Suites, on the hillside, all have a secluded bathtub on the balcony. 4 Cottage Suites have another bathtub in the private garden. The sizes of the Cottage Suites, comprising of an air-conditioned bedroom & an open-air terrace, are 60-68 sqm depending on locations. All have sea views. Most Cottage Suites differ in size,shape, layout and location making each one unique in its own right. 15 Grand Tongsai Villas, These 12 Tongsai Grand Villas (TGV) and 3 other special villas were open for business in December 1998. They are on the hillside on the right-had side of The Tongsai Bay opposite to where Cottage and Beachfront Suites stands. Each of the 12 villas has a total area of 135 sqm, divided into the open-air terrace and living area space of 81 sqm and the air-conditioned bedroom area of 54 sqm. The unique outdoor terrace features a bathtub for bathing alfresco, a gazebo where guests dould sleep outside if they wish (the hotel provides a mosquito net) and a bar. Room facilities : Every Suite has a mini-bar, satellite TV channels i.e. Discovery, Star Movies, Star Sport, BBC news, Animal Planet, ESPN, MTV and locan channels, Video player (our guests may borrow Free of charge Video cassettes from our Video library at the lobby for private viewing in their bedrooms), IDD telephone, safety box, hairdryer, tea & coffee making facilities. |

| Private Beach & Pool : Our private beach is by no means small. It is 200 metres long and never gets crowded even when all rooms are fully occupied. The sea is for everyone, but at the Tongsai Bay, the whole bay is yours. You can sunbathe in peace. No beach vendors, no stray dogs, and no passersby. Drinks are available to be served on the beach just raising a small flag as a signal to our staff. Our main, free form, seawater swimming pool is right by the beach next to Floyd's Beach Bistro and the Beachfront Suite Building. It is accompanied by a small jacuzzi pool and a childrens wading pool. Another half moon-shaped swimming pool is added above SIP Internet Cafe in order to serve those who prefer fresh water. Children are not allowed in this area to keep the area quiet and peaceful. Activities & Recreations : Even though the air at the Tongsai bay tends to make one feel at ease and not very energetic, Tongsai has a tennis court, an air-conditioned exercise room, and non-motorised water sports to serve the athletics and sport enthusiasts. All are free of charge for resident guests. Mind you our slopes would keep anyone fit if they opt to walk. Gift shop : With a wide range of items and gifts to be selected as sophisticated and valuable souvenirs for friends, family or your special person, visit our Gilf shop located next to Floyd's Beach Bistro near the seawater swimming pool. Prana Spa : Prana Spa specializes in a relaxing technique whereby the mind and body synchronized, which can help control or decrease the stress response. When tension is relaxed, the muscles cease to contract while blood vessels reduce vascular constriction and allow circulation to flow freely. This in turn helps cleanse the body of toxins and impurities and take care of the imbalances of the body. For the ultimate privacy which is the first stop to reduce stress and tension, each spa cottage is uniquely designed for maximum 2 adults at a time and completed with a herbal steam room, a floral bath in open air, an outdoor foot treatment area, massage beds and body treatment beds. Our guests will be relaxed in therapeutic atmosphere by natural aroma, selected light music and meditative touch of the therapists. |
